Coil spring window balances are a type of constant force window balance. These balances work by using stainless steel, coiled spring as a counterbalance. The pivot lock shoe is used in tilt window applications andsits inthe jamb channel and has a cam which will lock the shoe in the channel when the sash is tilted inwards. Pivot lock shoes work in tandem withwindow pivot barsto allow windows to tilt.
